San Miguel Beermen center June Mar Fajardo sees a bright future for the Converge FiberXers’ frontcourt duo of Justine Baltazar and Justin Arana.

Fajardo expressed confidence in the partnership’s potential, noting that once Baltazar and Arana fully adapt to playing together, they could become a dominant force in the PBA and make a significant impact for the FiberXers.

“Sobrang taas nung potensyal nung bata (Baltazar and Arana), hindi na ako magugulat kung magdo-dominate sila sa liga,” the eight-time PBA MVP told the media after the Beermen’s 116-113 victory over the FiberXers on Friday night.

“Agile sila sa big. ‘Yun ‘yung advantage nila. Hindi naman na mga bata ‘yun; matured na ‘yun; hinog na ‘yung mga ‘yun. In a matter of time lang, mado-dominate na nila ‘yung liga,” he added.

Baltazar posted a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds in his first encounter with Fajardo, while Arana was sidelined due to a knee injury.

Fajardo, on the other hand, showcased his prowess against Baltazar, achieving a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds.

With this victory, the Beermen improved their season record to 5-6, while the FiberXers fell to 8-4.
