Eight-time PBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) June Mar Fajardo is leading the race for the Best Player of the Conference award.
After the elimination round of the 2024 PBA Governors’ Cup, it was the San Miguel center who had gained the best record in statistical points (SPs), tallying 43.9 SPs after a league-leading average of 15.0 rebounds including 21.3 points and 2.8 assists.
NorthPort star Arvin Tolentino, who topped the group phase in scoring with an average of 23.7 points, was at third with 37.5 SPs, while also collecting 8.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.2 steals per match. Unfortunately, the Batang Pier failed to enter the playoffs.
CJ Perez of SMB came in fourth after registering 37.0 SPs on 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.2 steals, while Ginebra’s Japeth Aguilar concluded the top 5 with 33.4 SPs after having 19.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists.
Meanwhile, Blackwater reinforcement George King is the topnotcher in the rally for the Best Import Award after logging 61.7 SPs built on 40.3 points and 13.1 rebounds. Despite his outstanding performance, the Bossing did not advance to the quarterfinals.
Reigning Best Import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is second, listing 57.6 SPs, and led the competition in assists with 6.2 while having 2.7 steals, and 2.1 blocks.
DeQuan Jones of NLEX (55.3 SPs), Jordan Adams of San Miguel (50.1 SPs), and Jalen Jones of Converge (47.5 SPs) round out the top 5.
