Gerald Anderson Admits He Gets ‘Scared’ Of Bea Alonzo, Says He Has Become ‘A Better Man’ Because Of Her

He also talks about his playboy reputation and being teased with Kim Chiu on ‘It’s Showtime.’

On Tonight With Boy Abunda, Gerald Anderson laughed out loud when Boy Abunda asked if there are times when he gets “scared” of girlfriend Bea Alonzo, “a very strong, very intelligent girl.” With a twinkle in his eye, Gerald said, “Opo,” and let out a laugh once more.

The Between Maybes actor elaborated, “Siya ang tipo ng babaeng alam kung anong gusto niya at kung ano’ng deserve niya. For the last two, almost three years, ang dami ko’ng na… I think I’ve become a better man pagdating sa pagiging isang partner.”

Gerald praised Bea’s fitness discipline, calling her a “beast at the gym.” She goes to the gym he owns, The Th3rd Floor, though he’s the last person who would take credit for her “sexiness.”

Asked why he doesn’t frequently post couple photos on social media, he explained, “I’ve said kung anong mayroon kami. We have so many moments together, pero hindi ko naman kailangang i-share lahat.”

The show collected questions from fans, which included assumptions that he was a “playboy.” Gerald said he is no longer bothered by those assumptions, but he admitted, “Oo naman, dumaan ako sa stage na ‘yan.”

Gerald also shared what happened after he and Kim Chiu were teased on It’s Showtime when he appeared as a judge. He approached his former love team partner backstage to give her a belated birthday greeting. How does it feel when they are teased? “Nakakatuwa lang kasi wala ako dito if not for her. To have that dynamic pa rin, it’s nice.”
