The chatter began when fans noticed Curtis’s recent absence from the show, sparking rumors that the ‘Dyosa’ of ‘It’s Showtime’ might be saying goodbye for good. This led to concerns that she wouldn’t be participating in the highly anticipated ‘Magpasikat’ segment, a tradition where the hosts showcase their talents during the show’s anniversary.

However, sources close to the matter suggest that these rumors are likely unfounded. Anne Curtis, a fixture on ‘It’s Showtime’ since its launch in 2009, is reportedly just occupied with other major projects. She is currently filming a teleserye with Joshua Garcia and Carlo Aquino, directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar, in Negros. In this series, Curtis plays Emilia ‘Mia’ Hernandez, the Filipino adaptation of Ko Moon-young from the hit Korean drama ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,’ originally portrayed by Seo Yea-ji.

As for Bela Padilla, she has won over viewers with her quick wit and seamless chemistry with the show’s mainstay, Vice Ganda, particularly during the popular segment ‘EXpecially For You.’ Her presence has been well-received, leading some to speculate whether she might be groomed for a more permanent role.

Despite her absence due to her hectic filming schedule, Curtis is expected to return for the 15th-anniversary celebration of ‘It’s Showtime’ in October, where she will reportedly perform alongside Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz in the ‘Magpasikat  segment.

So far, Anne Curtis has not issued any official statement regarding her rumored departure from the show. Fans can take comfort in knowing that if the time ever comes for her to leave, she would likely make a heartfelt announcement, explaining her decision to her loyal audience.
