The suspension of It’s Showtime became a trending topic online. The show is suspended for 12 airing days by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). The network released a statement about this.

The ABS-CBN statement about the suspension states that they will file a motion for reconsideration. They “humbly maintain” that they have not violated pertinent laws and assured their commitment to working with the MTRCB to ensure that the show will continue giving joy and entertainment to the viewers.

The suspension came after lots of complaints were lodged concerning the show’s July 25, 2023 episode. In the said episode, the program’s hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez allegedly acted in an indecent manner during one of its segments.

Amid this issue, as the show continues to air, due to the suspension being not final yet, Vice made this kind gesture to this elderly contestant.

In the Rampanalo Segment, the contestant won a big amount from the segment. With the Christmas season finally starting as early as now in our culture, the host surprised the contestant with a huge addition to the prize.

The comedian added Php 100,000.00 to the original prize which made the contestant both happy and emotional. Based on the video, he said, “At dahil ber months na, malapit na ang pasko, Php 29,600.00… Merry Christmas sa’yo nanay, para mas masaya ang pasko, dadagdagan ko ng isang dang libong pa yang napanalunan mo.”
