Some of the biggest names in the Philippine showbiz industry have declared their support for the presidential bid of Vice President Leni Robredo in the upcoming national elections.
Actresses Kathryn Bernardo and Liza Soberano showed their support through a taped video aired during Robredo’s birthday rally in Pasay on Saturday, April 23.
Bernardo, who also endorsed Robredo as VP during the 2016 elections, spoke about her plans on voting for a presidential candidate who possesses the good qualities of a leader.
“Siguro mas madaling magplano kung may maaasahan kang subok na — masasandalang lider na handang iangat tayo sa lahat ng krisis,” she said.

“Kaya ako, ano plano ko? Ang plano ko sa May 9 gawing Pangulo si Leni Robredo. Sana kayo rin.”
Soberano, meanwhile, gave her well wishes to Robredo, assuring her of love and support.
“I, along with millions of Filipinos, believe in you and your capabilities to run this country. As a woman, it makes me extremely proud to see all that you have achieved and all that you bravely dream of doing for our country,” Soberano said.

However, the highlight of the Grand Birthday rally was the surprise performance and endorsement of the Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda.
Vice, who performed a number before a crowd of more than 400,000 across Macapagal Avenue, wore a long train painted with the words “Leni Robredo is my president.”
“Tuwing eleksyon na lamang, lagi tayong nagsasama-sama para magpanalo ng kandidato. Dapat magpanalo tayo ng mga sarili natin, ng pamilya natin at ng bansa natin. Tayo dapat ang manalo,” the comedian-TV host said after his performance.

“Ang tagal-tagal na nating talo, ipanalo naman natin ang isa’t isa,” he added.
Vice proceeded to raise her hand and said his vote for Robredo is his gift to the nation.
“Sa gabing ito, opisyal kong ineendorso ang susunod na pangulo ng Republika ng Pilipinas, Leni Robredo!” Vice said
Vice Ganda, Bernardo, and Soberano joined the list of celebrities who have publicly expressed their support for Robredo’s presidential bid, which include Angel Locsin, Piolo Pascual, Daniel Padilla, Nadine Lustre, Anne Curtis, Kris Aquino, Julia Barretto, among others.
