With an illustrious career spanning over four decades in the entertainment industry, Nanette Inventor is ready to bring her strong caliber of talents in comedy, singing, and hosting to new heights as she officially signs with Viva Artists Agency in partnership with her existing management, Stages.
The veteran entertainer began her career as a singer, starting as a member of the UP Concert Chorus and a back-up singer of the group Filipina. She branched out her vocal prowess by lending her voice to various television and radio jingles, as well as performing cover versions of various foreign hits.
Nanette’s singing career took off after she participated in the 7th Metro Manila Pop Music Festival back in 1984 and took home the grand prize after wowing the judges with her interpretation of Gary Granada’s “Salamat Musika.”

Apart from singing, Nanette also found a penchant for comedy, finding success in 1983 after starring in Channel 7’s Penthouse Live, specifically in its social satire portion where she brought to life the character of Doña Leonila Evaporada Viuda de Ford, also known as Doña Buding, which brought laughs to every televiewer in the country.
Continuing her success as a comedienne-singer, Nanette became a mainstay in shows such as Por Kilo, In The Money, and Abangan Ang Susunod Na Kabanata and would enjoy guest appearances in various television drama anthologies, telecines, and TV specials. In addition, she is also a top choice as a judge among singing contests for children.
Her talent has also brought her into an international audience, having performed in various countries such as the United States, Italy, Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia, among others. One of her memorable performances was in the historical Carnegie Hall in New York City where she was the first Filipina to perform and grace the stages of the iconic concert venue.
Nanette also utilized her vocal talents in theater, starring in the productions Honk, The Wiz, Noli Me Tangere, El Filibusterismo, and Separasyon, the latter being a Carlos Palanca Award-winning play by Lito Casaje.
