Ogie Diaz denies rumors of alleged romance between Richard Gutierrez, Barbie Imperial

Ogie Diaz clarified that the issue between Kapamilya actors Richard Gutierrez and Barbie Imperial after the two were spotted arriving together in a pub in Alabang, Muntinlupa,

According to Diaz’s reliable source, the actress is one of the shareholders of the said gastropub, where she was seen with the actor.

He added in his YouTube vlog on January 9 that Imperial, being one of the owners of the pub, is obliged to visit the establishment and entertain the guests, which Gutierrez attended as he is friends with other bar shareholders.

Diaz explained that there were four tables, and the actor was table-hopping since all of them are his friends, and it was coincidental that Imperial was sitting at one of the tables where he sat down, and the two only sat beside each other for a few minutes.

Moreover, Diaz noted that Gutierrez is still not okay that his marriage with Sarah Lahbati was on the rocks, adding that the actor can’t lock himself up in his room so he’s enjoying himself.

Gutierrez and Lahbati have yet to confirm nor deny the breakup speculations, but the netizens were too swift to notice that the two unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Neither Richard Gutierrez nor Barbie Imperial have clarified reports romantically linking them to one another, but fresh rumors of their budding romance surfaced after they were spotted in South Korea.

Photos of Gutierrez and Imperial in what seemed to be a getaway in South Korea were posted by one Grace Yang on Facebook on Sunday, May 26.

As seen in the post, Yang and her daughter asked for a photo with Imperial. “Kayo na maglagay ng captions (It’s up to you on what caption to use),” she wrote.

The photos also showed the rumored couple crossing a busy street while appearing to be in conversation with each other.

The Facebook user has taken down her post as of writing, but screenshots of her posts have been taken by other netizens.

Gutierrez and Imperial first sparked dating rumors after they were seen huddling together at a gastropub in Alabang last January.

However, a source close to the actor told entertainment insider Ogie Diaz days later that they’re not in a relationship and that Imperial was just entertaining him as she is one of the “shareholders” of the restaurant.

Gutierrez’s estranged wife Sarah Lahbati told reporters last April that she has “no reaction” about their rumored romance. The latter confirmed their March split but have yet to process their annulment.
