Heart Evangelista Reveals She and Jodi Sta. Maria Had a Relationship
Did you know that Heart Evangelista and Jodi Sta.Maria are related by blood?
The fashion icon recently surprised netizens with the revelation that she and the award-winning actress are cousins.
Heart made the reveal in a recent Instagram Live video when asked by a fan if she’s connected to the Kapamilya star.
“Jodi Sta Maria is my cousin from my mother’s side. I love Jodi Sta Maria. She’s super nice and one of the genuine ones in show business,” shared Heart.
“I didn’t even know she’s my cousin ’til a few years of show business. She’s my cousin, second cousin,” she added.
Heart went on to shower praises on Jodi whom she compared to Hollywood star Natalie Portmann, an Israeli-born American actress.
“Jodi is a great actress. She’s from the Philippines and she’s like Natalie Portman exactly. Super beautiful…super expressive eyes. I love her.”
Jodi won the Best Actress Award at the 2022 Asian Academy Creative Awards for her performance “The Broken Marriage Vow”, the Filipino adaptation of the BBC hit series “Doctor Foster”, calling it the highlight of her career.
