MANILA — Count on Vice Ganda to turn a wardrobe malfunction into an opportunity for comedy, as seen in a hilarious TV moment during the live episode of “It’s Showtime” on Saturday.

The accident happened during the “BidaMan” segment of the noontime program, where the co-hosts’ banter turned rowdy as Vice Ganda jokingly dismissed an instruction from their director, Bobet Vidanes.

Jumping and hitting Vhong Navarro, Vice Ganda appeared to extend his arms too far, resulting in the back zipper of his dress ripping, to shrieks from the studio audience.

Hoy, nasira ‘yung damit ko! Para na akong sira-ulo dito! Pumutok ‘yung zipper!” the comedy superstar said, laughing.

His co-hosts — Navarro, Anne Curtis, and Jhong Hilario — immediately came to his rescue, attempting to fix the ripped part while on stage.

But instead of staying put, Vice Ganda initially kept moving to prevent them from securing his dress.

Mamaya na nga!” the comedy superstar said, as he resumed interviewing the “BidaMan” contestant despite the wardrobe malfunction.

The contestant, Angelo Teng, meantime lent his jacket to Vice Ganda to cover his back.

The “Fantastica” star skipped a portion of the subsequent interview to have his dress repaired, before carrying on on stage as if nothing happened
