Showtime Host Vice Ganda Makes Clarification on Olympics, Family Issue Statements

VICE GANDA – The Showtime Host denied giving an opinion on the family issues between Carlos Yulo and his mother in an episode of “EXpecially For You”.

The double gold win of Carlos Yulo in the 2024 Paris Olympics sparked countless reports. It brought so much pride and honor to the Philippines and it greatly helped in making the country finish the Olympics as the best-performing Southeast Asia nation.

This year, the Philippines bagged four (4) Olympic medals which include the two (2) gold medal of Carlos Yulo in men’s floor exercise and vault event and the bronze medals of Pinay boxers Neshty Petecio and Aira Villegas.

Several rewards were given to the medalists most especially Yulo. Toyota gifted Carlos Yulo his own Land Cruiser Prado. He received more than P35 million cash rewards and several multi-million real estate properties.

However, the issues between Carlos Yulo and his mother, Angelica Yulo, also did not skip the public’s eyes. There are money issues between the mother and son and his mom is seemingly against his girlfriend.

Several opinions crossed the surface on that issue. However, Showtime host Vice Ganda stressed that he did not give an opinion on the family issues between Carlos Yulo and his mother, Angelica.

The clarification of the Unkabogable Star came after several netizens expressed disappointment as they speculated that Vice sides with the mother of Caloy. It was after the comedian stressed in an episode of EXpecially For You that he does not believe that a person can let go of his/her family when there are issues within the family.

Vice Ganda gave the statement after their guest admitted that she had family problems. The Showtime Host recognized that there are really situations when a family member cannot grow inside the circle. According to him, there are also instances that leaving the house is other people’s way to survive.

Vice said that family problems inside the household can be harder to fix than winning an Olympic gold but he believes that a person cannot just turn his/her back on family. His statement sparked speculations that he is taking the side of Angelica Yulo, the mother of Caloy.

Through a post on Twitter, Vice Ganda clarified that he was not giving an opinion on the family issues between Carlos Yulo and his mother. According to the comedian, he’s into celebrating the victory of Caloy and not joining those who feast on his family problems with his mother.
