Geoff Eigenmann addressed his past rumored romance with fashion influencer Heart Evangelista, clarifying that they “never really dated.” At the same time, he expressed that he’s open to working with his ex-girlfriend and former on-screen partner Carla Abellana.

In a recent guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Eigenmann was asked about the two actresses. “Naging kayo ba ni (Were you in a relationship with) Heart Evangelista?” began Boy Abunda.

“Everybody thought but honestly, no, we were not together. We were just really, really good friends,” responded the actor.

Eigenmann explained that he chose to prioritize his career when he and Evangelista got paired up.

“For me, it was the start of my career when we were paired together and I was really focused on that. Maybe I focused too much on it that I was kind of not considering it at the time kasi gusto ko trabaho (I wanted work),” he said.

Meanwhile, when asked if he’s willing to work with his real ex-lover, Abellana, Eigenmann affirmed, “Yes, I would,” as he went on to explain that they are in a better state now.

“I think, now in our lives, a lot has happened to each of us separately and that’s when maturity and growth come in and it’s all in the past. We’re professionals. We did this together for a long time before; why can’t we do it now?”

Eigenmann also revealed that he and Abellana haven’t seen each other since they broke up, responding to the questions if they remained friends after the separation.

“We haven’t seen each other since we broke up. We saw each other once and that was it. Nagpansinan kami (we acknowledged each other). This was seven or six years ago. [We had] a short conversation. And then the day just continued on,” the actor shared.

“The Killer Bride” actor also laughed when asked if he had a hard time moving on from Abellana, explaining, “It was okay, I would say, I think I gave myself the right amount of time.”

In 2014, Abellana confirmed her separation from Eigenmann after four years of dating. At the time, the actress said that a third party was not the reason for the breakup.

The pair previously starred in the drama series “Rosalinda,” “Magic Palayok” and “Basahang Ginto,” among others.

Meanwhile, Abellana was previously married to actor Tom Rodriguez before their controversial separation in 2022, and Eigenmann is now married to his non-showbiz partner, Maya Flores. They share three children together.
