Paulo Avelino said that he understands where the fans are coming from because he also has artists who he wants to see together in other projects.
“I would ‘ship’ (from the word relationship) them as well, pero hinay-hinay lang (but let’s take it slow). Kim just came from a [failed] relationship—not that I’m meddling,” he said and Kim interjected, “Just don’t.”
Then, Paulo said that people would let other people enjoy their lives and explore things. Kim agreed with him to just let people enjoy. She also said that they appreciate the fans shipping them and they are hoping that the support from the fans will continue what projects she and Paulo will have.
Paulo also said that they appreciate the fans’ effort to make them a trending topic on social media. He noticed that at times, Viu would share behind-the-scenes videos and their fans would make them trend. Kim added that their fans are making other people curious about their series and this helps them a lot.

However, Paulo Avelino stressed that they are not a loveteam and he does not like the stigma that the loveteam culture has.
“Our producer once told us that the idea of love teams is not known in other countries. The term is used only here in the Philippines. I’d rather we use ‘tandem’ or ‘onscreen partner.’ I don’t like the stigma associated with being part of a love team,” he explained.
Kim Chiu also stressed that they do not mind working with other people to help them in their growth. She also pointed out that they accepted this project because of the story and not because they wanted to be identified as a loveteam.
