Actress  Barbie Hsu,  who played Shan Cai in the Meteor Garden series, reportedly died at the age of 48.

As reported by CNA on Monday, February 3, 2025,  Barbie Hsu  died of acute pneumonia which she experienced while on vacation in Japan. 

Barbie Hsu’s death has been confirmed by her sister and husband,  DJ Koo.

CNA revealed that the news of Barbie Hsu’s death had been confirmed by her sister.

“During our vacation to Japan during Chinese New Year, my best and dearest brother left us all due to pneumonia caused by the flu,” said Dee Hsu, the deceased’s younger brother.

“I am so grateful to have been her sister in this life and I will cherish the times we supported and cared for each other,” she added.
