OG Encantadia Sang’gres Sunshine Dizon, Karylle, Iza Calzado, and Diana Zubiri reunited in Magpasikat 2023 of It’s Showtime.
The original sang’gres of the hit drama fantasy series Encantadia were reunited!
The reunion was made possible on It’s Showtime as Sunshine Dizon, Iza Calzado, and Diana Zubiri all appeared in Team Karylle’s Magpasikat 2023 performance. This is their way of supporting their “kapatid”.
This reunion of the original sang’gres made a loud buzz online and people were gushing about the nostalgia and happiness this reunion has brought them. According to Karylle, Zubiri traveled all the way from Australia just to join her in this special performance.

“Wala nang tanong-tanong pa, sabi nga ni Diana di ba pamilya, so andito kami syempre para suportahan ang kapatid naming si Karylle. Isang tawag lang niyan, magkakapit-bisig talaga kami para sa isa’t isa,” Calzado said when she was asked what made her agree to this amid her busy life now as a first-time mother.
Dizon, who is also just as busy as the other, became tearful when she expressed her appreciation to Karylle. Initially, she apologized to Karylle for she might not make it because of her schedule.
However, Karylle is a “wonderful friend” and they can always count on her. She added based on the video, “I think it’s such a beautiful thing that we are all together again here.”
To recall, it was in 2005 when Calzado, Dizon, Zubiri, and Karylle starred as the leads of the series. A sisterhood was created on and off the camera. In 2016, Encantadia had a reboot, and this year, it will have its spin-off series called Sang’gre, starring Bianca Umali, Faith da Silva, Kelvin Miranda, and Angel Guardian.
