Heart Evangelista never disappoints with her outfits, and her vow renewal gown is no exception.

In captivating photos recently unveiled by Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, the actress stuns in a custom Elie Saab couture gown for her vow renewal ceremony with husband Chiz Escudero. She was also holding a bejeweled bouquet by the same designer.

According to the fashion magazine, Heart, who turned 39 on Valentine’s Day, requested to wear a gown by the Lebanese designer to the ceremony which was held at Balesin Island Club’s Royal Villa on Feb. 15.

“Elie Saab has always had a special place in my heart—it was actually one of the first shows I ever attended in fashion week. I’ve always loved their dreamy and romantic creations, and when I saw the custom couture dress, I knew that was it. The beige colour and the details on the beading… it was love at first sight. My only request was to add the veil—it was a non-negotiable,” she said.

During the reception, Heart wore another gorgeous gown fully beaded with Swarovski crystals and a cape by Michael Leyva.

For her jewelry, Heart reworked on a diamond necklace and added stones that had meaning to her.

“I have been collecting diamonds since I was very young and some of them were gifts from special people like my mom, dad, and Chiz. Putting them together to make one special piece feels like weaving the chapters of my life together to form a story—a story that I can wear on my neck,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.

Heart and Chiz celebrated their special day with their closest friends and family. Her mom, who wasn’t at the 2015 ceremony, was also in attendance.

“All is well now and I’m happy that she’s finally here. I told her, ‘You finally made it mum, but you’re nine years late!’ But we’re all good,” she shared.

Heart previously told the press why she and Chiz are renewing their vows on their ninth anniversary. She admitted that they went through a lot as a couple last year, and so now is the right moment to do it.

“I never really denied, but you know, people go through stuff. And I never really spoke about it, but it was a major major one. So I feel like we’re really, as a married couple, it’s really meaningful for us to have this moment. And there are just so many other things happening and coming. So, this is the perfect time for us,” Heart said.
