Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis, two of the mainstay hosts at “It’s Showtime,” couldn’t help but tear up as the noontime variety show formally inked its new partnership with GMA Network.

On Wednesday’s contract signing held in GMA’s Studio 7, Vice and Anne turned emotional as they listened to ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak expressing his gratitude for giving “It’s Showtime” a new home.

In her own speech, Vice said she herself couldn’t believe that the day would come when the two TV giants would emerge together for a TV show.

According to Vice Ganda, the challenges faced by the Kapamilya network served as a transformer for collaborating with GMA Network.

“This is a transformative event, a transformative moment, hindi ito agad nangyari pero ngayong nangyayari na ito, this moment has a very strong, massive, transformative purpose,” she said.

Vice Ganda ended her speech by humbly thanking the Kapuso network for warmly welcoming “It’s Showtime” into their home.

“At ngayon po na pinili niyo kami, halika na, magsanib puwersa na tayo, para mapanalunan at mapagtagumpayan ang mas malaking hamon,” she said.

“It’s Showtime” is set to air on GMA Network starting on April 6, alongside GTV.
