Kapamilya superstar Vice Ganda has this statement on It’s Showtime that caught the attention of many people online.
It’s Showtime is currently facing several issues following the violation the show’s hosts allegedly did.
And amid the show’s ongoing scrimmage with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), it seems like they have to be facing a rather rougher sail as Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile aired his thoughts of objections to its main host Vice Ganda.
In a previous article, Enrile called Vice “salacious” and indecent.
In his radio program on SMNI News, he expressed that the problem in our country is that people who have the power, may it be political, social, economic, or whatever power, they tend to always forget other people.
He added that he was able to follow Vice’s rise to popularity and he said that the comedian is not only indecent but also abusive. He even pointed out that he is doing inappropriate acts to earn a living and popularity.
Vice remained mum about this. However, there was one statement from the show’s recent episode that caught the attention of many people online.
In the clip, he was discussing the reason why they continue what they do in the show and why they, especially continue to the Tawag Ng Tanghalan. The TNT is accordingly for the elderly people who deserve to just relax while watching the show and listening to the songs the contestants are singing.
He loves the elderly and added, “Pati na rin sa mga lolong hindi ako masyadong like, I still love you po.”
Last September 4, MTRCB issued a statement suspending It’s Showtime for 12 airing days. The producer of the show was given a period to file for a motion for reconsideration.
