LOS ANGELES — The star shone bright for “Hello, Love, Again” as Kathryn Bernardo, Alden Richards and the rest of the cast arrived at the 10th Asian World Film Festival in Culver City, California.“It’s a huge honor. We’re very grateful for the Asian World Film Festival for the opportunity being here showcasing Filipino talent and Filipino material is just rewarding for us,” Richards said.
Bernardo and Richards reprise their roles as Joy and Ethan in this film, which is already setting records in its first week and touches on the lives of overseas Filipino workers.
“This is a very important night for us and for us Filipinos as well nakaka-proud to be part of something like this. This is my first time attending Asian World Film Festival and we hope that a lot of Filipinos and even non-Filipino fans will like the movie and for sure nakaka-relate tayo lahat because more than anything more than anyone this is your story,” Bernardo said.
Aside from Richards and Bernardo, the cast features a mix of familiar faces and some global talents. Many of Bernardo and Richards’ co-stars joined them for this special night, including “Bling Empire’s” Kevin Kreider.
“You’re only as good as your other actor so the fact I could act with the best in the Philippines was just an amazing experience,” Kreider saId.
Ruby Rodriguez, who’s been living in the US for several years, marked her return to showbiz with this film. She has worked for the Philippines Department of Foreign Affairs since arriving in the U.S.
“When I portrayed the role, I know exactly how it would be. My character is an OFW. I know exactly,” Rodriguez said.
Also joining the cast and the panel at the screening were Marvin Arotrang and Mark Labella.
“It’s very overwhelming sobrang nakakakaba and I’m so very happy to represent LA,” Aritrangco said.
“The first Filipino film to reach the top 10. Out of 250 theaters, averages are incredible,” Labella added.
