On Saturday, June 29, Mariel Rodriguez and husband Robin Padilla revealed privately the gender of their second baby, whom they fondly tagged as Baby “Surprise.”
Those in the know, the close friends and family members that were gathered that day for their gender reveal party at The Bellevue Manila, were told to hold off on any announcement.
Mariel wanted to be the one to do it, and did it the following day, June 30, through her YouTube channel at exactly 9 p.m.

In her vlog, Mariel shared the story behind the nickname she chose for their second baby.
She narrated, “Baby number two was not planned. In my head, I really wanted to give Isabela a sibling.
“But I would like to, I will try when he is three years old and above.

“She is so jealous so every day, I feel like she’s not ready yet.
“But God gave the blessing early so my nickname for this baby is Baby Surprise.”
