“This should be a non-issue,” said a friend of Pia Wurtzbach.

This was to address accusations from netizens that Pia misled the public into thinking she attended a recent fashion show in New York.

“The brand had no problem with it. They understood. I don’t know though why it became a big issue to some? Does it make them happy, fulfilled, informing the universe about it?”

PIA WURTZBACH’S “FAKE” ATTENDANCE

The alleged “fake” attendance surfaced after the 2015 Miss Universe shared a video on social media last September 12, 2024, from a Carolina Herrera show during New York Fashion Week featuring the designer’s collection.

Eagle-eyed followers pointed out that the footage uploaded by Pia was not hers, but from Style Not Com, a popular fashion page on Instagram that feeds the public with the latest trends, news, and insights about the fashion industry.

Some fans accused her of not attending the event and instead using a video taken by another party to create that impression.

DID PIA WURTZBACH MISS THE CAROLINA SHOW?

Pia simply missed the show.

She posted an Instagram Reel yesterday, September 15, wearing a red floral dress.

Her caption read: “Just a girl playing dress up at fashion week. Missed the show, but had a blast snapping pics in @carolinaherrera.”

The source added, “Brooklyn is 45 minutes away. 1.5 hours ang travel. Driver arrived late. So 10:00 a.m. ang show, 10:30 a.m., nakarating si Pia.

“The agreement with Carolina Herrera headquarters through regional team was to post videos of the show and of her wearing the dress.

“She had to wear another dress for the extra look.”

The video was “archived” for a short while because “nakalimutan i-credit si Style Not Com. That’s it.”

She reiterated that the video was posted not to deceive people, and that the brand was informed about what happened.

In an Instagram Reel posted just now, 12:03 a.m. of September 16, summing up her New York Fashion Week experience this year, Pia said, again: “We missed it,” referring to the Carolina Herrera show.
