In the midst of rumors suggesting that projects are offered to Bea Alonzo only after Marian Rivera rejects them, Kapuso headwriter RJ Nuevas vehemently denied these claims.

The issue came to light during a discussion on the online show ‘Showbiz Update’ with hosts Ogie Diaz and Mama Loi. Among the topics tackled was the controversial breakup between Bea and her former fiancé Dominic Roque.

Ogie highlighted the differing wedding aspirations of the couple, with Bea aiming for a grandiose ceremony while Dominic prefers a simpler celebration.

During the conversation, Ate Mrena seemingly made a pointed remark about the two prominent Kapuso actresses, framing the situation as a competition between Bea Alonzo and Marian Rivera.

She shared hearsay from a friend within the GMA Network, suggesting that before a teleserye is presented to Alonzo, it is first offered to Rivera.

However, RJ Nuevas swiftly refuted these claims in an official statement on Facebook today, putting an end to the speculation.

“Para po talaga kay Bea ang show at walang inalukan na iba,” he emphasized. He also noted that Alonzo’s previous projects with the GMA Network, such as ‘Start-Up’ and ‘Love Before Sunrise,’ did not undergo any such scrutiny regarding this issue.

While there has been no official statement from the GMA Network or from Bea and Marian regarding this controversy, LionhearTV remains open to clarifying matters involving those involved.
