ABS-CBN actress Kim Chiu officially celebrated her 28th birthday on April 19.
Kim had several birthday celebrations hosted by her closest friends and family in the past few weeks.
Now in her late 20s, Kim is making sure to achieve all of her goals before she reaches the age of 30.
“Meron pa akong two years na i-enjoy yung twenties ko,” Kim told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview last Sunday, May 6.
Before the interview, Kim met some of her fans at Berocca’s Conquer Big Days event in SM Megamall.
It’s her way of thanking them for their unwavering support since she joined showbiz in 2006.
One thing she noticed, however, is that she has also gained younger fans through the years.
She narrated, “So ayun, nakaka-ano lang, nakakagulat kasi parang ang dami nang bata ngayon na ang tawag sa ‘yo ng ‘Ate.'”
Kim further quipped, “Ouch! Okay. Yung mas bata, ‘Tita Kim.’ Wow, thank you so much!”

PEP.ph went on to ask Kim how she reacted the first time a fan called her “Tita Kim.”
“‘Sino yun?’ ‘Ate lang, no… puwede pag thirty na saka mo ako tawaging tita?'”

Kim continued, “So parang yun… pero it’s an amazing experience kasi nadaanan ko lahat ng stages ng social media, lahat ng stages ng careers in life.
“Na may glam team, na walang glam team before.”
Was there ever a time she felt like she’s experiencing quarter-life crisis?
Kim admitted, “Yes, maybe. This year siguro, parang yun yung nararamdaman ko.
“Iniisip ko kung ano gusto ko.
“Siguro at this age, marami yung katulad ko na nagku-[quarter]-life crisis kasi hindi naman ganito palagi, e.
“Parang, ‘What will I do next?’ ‘What will happen next?’
“Kung may website lang na about that, pinuntahan na namin lahat yun, e.
“Pero walang makakasagot nun kundi sarili mo lang talaga.”

One thing Kim does to de-stress or get through feeling down in the dumps is to take some time off from showbiz and explore a different country.
Kim’s next destintion is the U.S.
She told PEP.ph, “This month, I’ll be going to San Francisco for the fun run ng TFC [The Filipino Channel].
“And then after that, I’ll go straight to Canada para dalawin yung kapatid ko.
“Bakasyon muna kasi parang ang gulo-gulo, and yeah finally, free time.
“After nung December, ngayon ulit, free time so before starting another project, pahinga muna.”
Kim just finished the movie The One That Ghost Away, which was shown in theaters last month.
