Real-life friend Piolo Pascual and Bea Alonzo are rivals because of their respective shows and this is what the actor said about this.

Big stars Piolo Pascual and Bea Alonzo are friends in real life. Both of them are homegrown talents of ABS-CBN but in 2021, the actress decided to leave and transfer to the GMA network. They were paired in 2005 for the film “Dreamboy” but even after many year and after everything that has happened, they remained friends.

Previously, a screenshot of their video call emerged online and caught attention as Pascual captioned it, “Talking about ratings? Not!!! Misshoo so much.”

Alonzo reposted the snap saying, “Never!! I miss you, Eali!!”

Currently, their shows fall at the same time slot but aired on different networks which makes them rivals. Alonzo’s “Widow’s War” is airing on GMA while Pascual’s “Pamilya Sagrado” is airing on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, Kapamilya Online Live, and TFC.

However, as stated in their post, there is no rivalry in between them despite the said situation. In an interview, Pascual talked about it and stressed that their friendship matters more than the ratings of their shows. He made it clear that there is no ratings rivalry between them.

At that moment, they were also talking about their long overdue dinner and in the middle of their conversation, they realized that their shows are being aired at around the same time. There was no big deal and both were just chill about it.

Online, both of their shows are actually praised by many people as they are not the usual drama.

“We were talking about dinner because it has been long overdue. And then we were saying, ‘oo nga magkatapat shows natin ‘no, hanep!’ But that is it,” Pascual shared.
