‘It’s Showtime’ host Vice Ganda recently disclosed that he nearly missed attending the wedding of his close friends Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia because he was dealing with depression.

In a candid and emotional revelation on his vlog, Vice Ganda opened up about a deeply personal experience that many of his fans might relate to. He shared that watching his close friends get married one after another triggered a sense of sadness and loneliness within him. “Na-experience ko ‘yan dati nu’ng unti-unti na silang nagpapakasal — sila Karylle, sila Anne, sila Billy,” he revealed, referring to the weddings of his friends Karylle, Anne, and Billy.

While Vice made it clear that he was genuinely happy for each of them, there was an undeniable feeling of melancholy that crept in. He admitted that, despite his happiness for his friends, the gradual milestone of seeing them marry made him feel as though he was being left behind in his own journey. It was a complicated mix of joy for them and sadness for himself, a feeling of being out of sync with the life events that were unfolding around him.

Vice shared that the day before Billy’s wedding, he texted him to explain that he wouldn’t be able to attend. “Nagalit talaga siya. Nagalit siya. Tapos hanggang ang dami kong alibi, na wala na akong masasakyang eroplano,” Vice recalled. Despite his genuine reasons and even playful excuses, Billy was clearly upset, not understanding why his close friend wouldn’t be there to witness such an important event in his life. Vice’s attempt to come up with multiple reasons for not attending only seemed to fuel Billy’s disappointment further.
