It was the biggest cheer of the night.

A cool, calm and collected Sparta Prague fan scooped 1,000,000 Czech Koruna in prize money after he smashed the club’s half-time challenge.

The supporter in question, who goes by the name of Pavel, raced down to the centre circle on Friday night as the players from Sparta Prague and Sigma Olomouc enjoyed a half-time break.

With the home side leading thanks to an early strike from Victor Olatunji, those inside the Stadion Letna were in good spirits as Pavel lined up to take a shot from the halfway line.

Basically, a fan must find the back of a small net with a laser accurate strike from distance.

And on this occasion, Pavel produced an inch-perfect punt to win the 1,000,000 Czech Koruna [just under €40,000] reward. Take a look at that incredible moment below:

Here’s how fans on social media reacted to the scenes in Prague.

One said: “What a roar from the crowd! the mascot seemed happier than the winner,” and another commented: “That’s honestly a really good shot.”

A third wrote: “He walks like he’s a former player. There’s confidence in those legs.”

A fourth said: “Don’t underestimate how difficult striking a ball is with trainers on a wet pitch. Great strike,” whilst a fifth added: “That crowd cheer when it went In gave me chills from here. I can’t imagine how he felt.”

Unfortunately for Pavel and the thousands of home fans inside the Stadion Letna, Sparta Prague would blow their slender lead in the second-half.

Yunusa Muritala, Jan Fiala and Filip Zorvan handed Sigma Olomouc a surprise two-goal cushion late on and despite a 91st-minute effort from Prague’s Ermal Krasniqi, the reigning champions dropped crucial points.

Sparta Prague currently sit second in the league table with seven wins from a possible nine, whilst Sigma climbed up to fifth on 17 points.
