Here’s what Kim Chiu said amid the legal battle of It’s Showtime.

Kapamilya actress-host Kim Chiu made this statement when asked about the issues of It’s Showtime and denied appeals.

‘It’s Showtime’ still airing despite being denied by the Movie and  Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). The Motions for Reconsideration on suspension of Showtime was denied by the regulatory board.

MTRCB’s chairperson is Lala Sotto and she was heavily bashed online after the agency released its decision regarding the matter.

ABS-CBN and GMA filed motions for reconsideration but were denied by the MTRCB 15 days after the order had been publicized. In an official statement, ABS-CBN assured the viewers that they would exhaust all options to remedy the situation.

In a previous article, Senator Bong Revilla made an appeal to the Office of the President to reconsider the decision of the regulatory board. He believes that lessons were already learned. He is looking after the numerous employees whose lives will be deeply affected without an income in case the suspension is finalized.

To recall, the MTRCB decided to suspend the show for 12 airing days which means, the employees under the “no work, no pay” policy will lose the opportunity to put food on their tables.

In the recent legal battle of the show, one of its regular hosts, Kim Chiu, was asked about it.

During the launching of her newest endorsement, a media person connected her answer to the recent situation of the noontime show. She was initially amused as to how the interviewer smoothly transitioned the topic from the product to the issue of Showtime.

In her response, she did not divulge any specific detail but she did stress the resilience of their family.

She believes that they can surpass this. She expressed based on a report from PEP, “And wala namang problema na hindi nakakayanan. Dahil, ano na rin, na-test by time na rin kaming lahat.”

Meanwhile, after the denial from the MTRCB, the producer of the show is given 15 days to make an appeal to the OP. If they get another denial, they can file again with the Court of Appeals.

If this one gets denied again, their last card would be filing an appeal to the Supreme Court. The SC will have the final words.
