During the skit of ‘It’s Showtime’ during the ABS-CBN Christmas special, Kim Chiu was at the center of jokes and punchlines.

Main host Vice Ganda stirred the pot and led the trending “Suspek Suspek” segment with some of her co-hosts including Chiu.

“Suspek Suspek” is a trend on video-platform TikTok wherein two or more characters candidly and jokingly expose each other with truths, secrets, spoilers or stories.

Vice teased Chiu that she hasn’t revealed who her new boyfriend is because she allegedly wanted to consult a feng shiu expert to check their compatibility. This part drew cheers and laughs from the crowd, knowing that Vice was referring to Chiu’s onscreen partner Paulo Avelino.

Backstage, Chiu gave her reaction.

“Suspek suspek bakit apat ‘yung sa akin, ‘di ako ready. Nakalimutan ko tuloy ‘yung suspek suspek ko<“she said

And to add to that, Vice revealed that an anonymous guy in a cap visited Chiu in her dressing room, again alluding that it was Avelino.

We asked Chiu if it’s true and she confirmed.

“Uy grabe. Nanggaling siya ng recording nun kasi wala pa ‘yung sundo niya. So dumaan muna. Nagulat din ako,” she said.

A teaser clip of her upcoming film “My Love Will Make You Disappear” with Avelino premiered during the ABS-CBN Christmas special. It’s set to screen in cinemas in February next year.

Asked if they’re done filming, Chiu said: “No, not yet. So wala munang bakasyon this december. Shooting muna kami.”

She admitted that they’re feeling the pressure being the opening salvo of Star Cinema for next year, following the box office success of its recent projects “Un/Happy For You” and “Hello, Love, Again.”
