Arsenal are reportedly interested in sealing a double deal.

Arsenal are reportedly planning a shock double deal from an unexpected Premier League club.

After missing out on the Premier League title to Manchester City for two seasons in a row, Mikel Arteta is hoping the 24/25 campaign will finally be a victorious one.

So far this season, Arsenal have collected 17 points from seven matches and are in third place, one point behind leaders Liverpool and are only behind City on goal difference.

Despite this season being only seven games old, it has been claimed that Arsenal are already planning ahead to next summer’s transfer window in order to keep the squad competitive.

As reported by Caught Offside, the Gunners are eyeing Bournemouth duo Antoine Semenyo and Milos Kerkez, who are valued at around €80 million by the Cherries.

It has been suggested that Semenyo could be brought in as a backup for Bukayo Saka and Kerkez could replace Oleksandr Zinchenko or Keiran Tierney.

However, it has also been reported that if Arsenal are to make a move, they are looking to seal the deal for less than Bournemouth’s €80 million asking price.

Semenyo has impressed since joining the Cherries in January of 2023. So far this season, the 24-year-old has registered three goals and one assist in seven Premier League matches.

Aside from Arsenal, there have been reports that rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also keeping a keen eye on Semenyo.

Speaking about Semenyo’s start to the campaign last month, Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola said: “I’m pleased because he has made the numbers, but more pleased for the attitude he has had.

“The other day against Everton, I think he was the first one to revel in front of this difficult situation.”

He added: “He was the one to start carrying, a little bit, the team. Even before scoring the first goal, you could see he was a little bit angry and sometimes it’s good to be like this. I think he’s winning more, [taking] a little bit more responsibility.

“Past season, I remember that normally he started from the bench or he played 60, 65 minutes and you could see that he was starting to decline, it’s normal a little bit. Now he’s staying there, he’s finishing strong, the games.

“Also, he has to improve a lot of things, I tell him every day. He’s not a complete package yet.”
