Kim Chiu was put on the hot seat and asked about the status of her love life. But instead of answering directly, she kept it lighthearted.
In the vlog posted on Dec. 16, her Linlang costar Maricel Soriano probed Kim’s relationship status while escorting her to the It’s Showtime studio.
She asked, “Ang dami-daming nagbubulungan. Kumusta daw ang love life mo?”
The latter seemed to be in shock and wasn’t able to respond immediately.
Maricel repeated the question, “Tinatanong nila lovelife mo eh. Hindi naman ako makasagot, day, dahil hindi naman ako ikaw.”
“Sinong nagtatanong sa ‘yo?” Kim asked back.
“Mga fans mo, day. Mga fans. Nagtatanong sila. Kumusta na daw ang love life mo?” the Diamond Star answered, gaining a humorous laugh from the actress.
Kim prompted, “Ang lovelife ko ay ano,” followed by another laugh. Maricel reacted: “Ay ano? Ba’t natatawa ka, day? May nakakatawa ba?”
“Ang love life ko ay naka-hang ngayon,” Kim finally responded before moving on to a new topic and inviting Maricel to eat with her It’s Showtime co-hosts instead.
Speculations that she and actor Xian Lim have broken up started when social media users noticed that Kim went on a solo trip in October.
Kim addressed the breakup rumors in November, saying they’ll “just keep it to ourselves” first.
But last Dec. 12, social media users noticed Xian had deleted content on his YouTube channel, including vlogs with Kim.
Kim and Xian began dating in 2012 but only confirmed their relationship to the public in 2018.
