The worldwide earning of the movie of Vice Ganda has been revealed.
MMFF 2024 top grosser “And The Breadwinner Is” of Vice Ganda has earned this much from the worldwide box office.
“And The Breadwinner Is” is the seventh film of Vice Ganda to surpass the Php 400 million threshold. This is an official entry of the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival and is the top grosser among the several official entries.
The other movies of the superstar to achieve this milestone are Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy (2013), The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin (2014), Beauty and the Bestie (2015), The Super Parental Guardians (2016), Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad (2017), and Fantastica (2018).
His other films were The Mall, The Merrier (2019) with Anne Curtis and Partners in Crime (2022) with Ivana Alawi.
Though the iconic chapstick comedy of Vice is present in his most recent film, his dramatic chops were also shown. He received the Special Jury Citation from the MMFF for his performance in “And the Breadwinner Is”.
This movie showed a different side of Vice’s acting skills. He stepped out of his comfort zone and is thankful to the veterans who guided him.
Recently, the film’s worldwide gross was revealed by Star Cinema. In a post,
ATBWI earned Php 460 million. A Thanksgiving dinner for the MMFF movie was already held for its success attended by the stars and directors.
ABS-CBN Chairman Mark Lopez, ABS-CBN CEO and President Carlo Katigbak, ABS-CBN Films Managing Director Kriz Gazmen, and TheIdeaFirst company president Perci Intalan were also there.
The film is directed by the award-winning director Jun Robles Lana and features veteran actors such as Eugene Domingo, Jhong Hilario, Gladys Reyes, Malou de Guzman, comedians Petite and Lassy, and child stars Argus and Kulot.
