England face Greece and Finland in Nations League fixtures this month.
Interim boss Lee Carsley has named his England squad for this month’s Nations League fixtures against Greece and Finland.
Carsley replaced Gareth Southgate, who left his role after this summer’s Euro 2024, on an interim basis as the FA look for a permanent appointment, with a report revealing the ‘dream’ candidate.
He began his reign as England boss with an impressive 2-0 victory over Ireland in Dublin before beating Finland 2-0 at Wembley Stadium.
His first squad included four uncapped players in Angel Gomes, Morgan Gibbs-White, Tino Livramento and Noni Madueke.

Ahead of games against Greece and Finland, Carsley has named his England squad.
He’s called up Tottenham forward Dominic Solanke, who returns to the international fold for the first time in seven years.
Solanke, who made his England debut against Brazil in a friendly match back in 2017, has scored three goals in six games for Spurs since completing a £65 million transfer from Bournemouth during the summer.

Jude Bellingham has returned to the team after recovering from an injury, which kept him out of the last squad.

Fans online couldn’t believe Carsley picked Gibbs-White over Morgan Rogers.
One X user wrote: “Morgan Rogers deserved a call up.”
A second added: “Lee’s first L not picking Rogers.”
A third said: “Gibbs-White over Rogers, accompanied with a laughing face emoji.
So, Aston Villa’s Rogers, Manchester United’s Harry Maguire, West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen and Tottenham’s James Maddison are among those that have been left out of the squad.
The Three Lions host Greece next Thursday before travelling to Finland for their clash on October 13.
Carsley’s side currently occupy second spot in League B Group 2.
