Kim Chiu reconciles with her estranged father

According to Kim, she finally talked to her father after five years of not communicating with him.
Kim Chiu has already made peace with her estranged father William Chiu Jr.

Through her Instagram account, the Ina Kapatid Anak star recently shared a photo of her father posing with her and her siblings.

Kim posted this as a caption for her family photo: “the love of a family is life’s greatest blessing.” family is ! we miss you @williamchiujr #happinessoverload”

In a taped interview aired during the May 12 episode of Showbiz Inside Report, Kim admitted that she has forgiven her father whom she has not spoken to for the past five years.

“Sabi ko nga dun sa Instagram ko, blood is thicker than water.

“Siyempre, ilang taon rin naman kaming hindi nag-uusap. Limang taon na.

“Tumatanda na kami. Siguro it’s about time na kalimutan na natin yun.”

Last May 4, The Buzz reported that Kim reunited with her Mindoro-based father when she had a show in that province.

In a separate interview with PUSH, Kim said that she had a heart-to-heart talk with her father who is already living with his other family.

The Kapamilya actress recalls their conversation when they had their family dinner recently: “Sabi niya, ‘Napatawad mo na ako? Bati na tayo. Sorry.’ E, matanda na tatay ko. Kinalimutan ko na yung nangyari.”

Kim also reveals that she has already met her half-siblings. Marami [akong kapatid sa ama] Oo, na-meet ko sila. Masaya naman.”
