San Miguel Beermen center June Mar Fajardo remains humble despite his achievement of winning a record of seven PBA Most Valuable Player awards.

Fajardo won his latest MVP trophy last Sunday. He is the only player in league history to have seven MVP citations under his belt.

Despite this, Fajardo does not consider himself the PBA’s “Greatest of All Time”, or GOAT.

“There are many players who are better than me—those who played before me,” Fajardo said during a recent interview with CNN Philippines’ Sports Desk.

“Ramon Fernandez, Alvin Patrimonio, and Danny Ildefonso are the greatest,” the 6’10 center added.

Behind Fajardo, Fernandez and Patrimonio are tied for second with four MVP awards.

Fajardo also said that he would not attain his career achievements without the help of his team.

“I did not expect to win these many awards. I’m blessed because I’m in San Miguel, and my teammates are the reason why I won the MVP,” he added.

Aside from seven MVP awards, Fajardo is also a nine-time Best Player of the Conference, an eight-time Mythical First Team Member, and an eight-time All-Star.
