For It’s Showtime Magpasikat, Vhong Navarro, Jugs, and Teddy pay tribute to departed comedians using AI.

IT’S SHOWTIME MAGPASIKAT 2023 – On Monday, the team of Vhong Navarro, Jugs Jugueta, and Teddy Corpuz did a performance that touched many hearts.

Emotional and nostalgic is the performance of hosts Vhong Navarro, Jugs Jugueta, and Teddy Corpuz for this year’s Magpasikat in It’s Showtime. This is the first time for these three male hosts to team up.

Their performance brought out a lot of emotions to many people.

In their “Magpasikat” performance, the trending use of AI or artificial intelligence, was used. Through this technology, these three hosts transformed themselves as Dolphy, Babalu, and Redford White – the legendary comedians of the entertainment industry.

During the first half of the performance, the three did individual performances. When everyone thought that it ended right there, that was when they finally showed the real one.

“Sapol na sapol. I found myself crying. Naiyak ako kasi lahat ng ipinakita niyo, hindi ko lang sila kinalakihan, nakasama ko sila sa trabaho,” says award-winning director Olivia Lamasan who is one of the hosts of this year’s Magpasikat. She was referring to the second half of the performance when AI was finally introduced along with the surprise transformations of the performers.

To name a few, among the departed well-loved comedian featured in the performance were Bentong, Chokoleit, Don Pepot, Gary Lising, Mang Tomas, Palito, Panchito, and Ritchi D Horsie.

The Vhong, Teddy, and Jugs also transformed as Bert Marcelo, Mely Tagasa, Dencio Padilla, Tiya Pusit, Blakdyak, Yoyoy Villame, Willie Nepomuceno, Chiquito, Rene Requeistas, and German Moreno.

At the end of the performance, Nova Villa appeared on stage in character as Azon of the ’90s hit comedy series “Home Along Da Riles”.

Their performance brought laughter and tears to the audience.

It served as a tribute to the well-loved comedians who made a lot of people happy when they were still alive. These are the comedians who helped a lot of people and made their lives more bearable through their craft and humor.

The performance was also a reminder to people to use the AI trend the proper way. The use of this comes with responsibilities.
