‘Tigilan niyo na’: Anne flees as Vhong brings up Vice Ganda’s party companion

Vhong Navarro brings up Vice Ganda’s party during the Wednesday episode of ‘It’s Showtime,’ prompting Anne Curtis to retreat to the side of the stage.

MANILA — Anne Curtis appeared to walk on eggshells during the live episode of “It’s Showtime” on Wednesday — to the point of retreating altogether — as private details about a party hosted by Vice Ganda came close to being exposed during a playful banter on stage.

Vice Ganda, who usually co-hosts the Miss Q&A segment with Curtis, was absent from the program — after having left the Tuesday night party in the early morning of Wednesday.

That was according to Ion Perez, or the staple “Kuya Escort” whose comedic antics has endeared him to viewers. Perez, as well dancer Jackque Gonzaga, were being quizzed by hosts Vhong Navarro and Ryan Bang about the “Fantastica” star’s companion during the party.

Gonzaga, one-half of the “ViceJack” tandem, quipped that she left Vice Ganda’s party early as she conceded to being second to that mystery companion, whom they still wouldn’t name.

At one point, Curtis had to caution Gonzaga: “Mag-iingat ka Jackque!”

When Navarro and Bang pressed on with the topic, particularly to determine what time Perez left the party, the speechless Curtis quietly retreated to the side of the stage.

Ba’t, Anne, ayaw mo magsalita? Bakit lumalayo ka? Para malinaw lang, sabi ni Anne, ito raw ang topic natin ngayon,” Navarro teased, prompting Curtis to protest the accusation.

“Tigilan niyo na, kung ako sa inyo!” Curtis said, before finally returning on stage to join her co-hosts.

The party, which also gathered other “It’s Showtime” mainstays, was held in celebration of the box-office success of “Fantastica,” which is said to now be the highest grossing Vice Ganda film.
