Kim Chiu found herself in the hot seat during an emotional segment on “It’s Showtime” with Jackie Gonzaga on July 22. The hosts shared heartfelt responses while discussing exes and hypothetical scenarios in the popular “EXpecially For You” segment.

Vice Ganda first asked Jackie if she would show off her new boyfriend if they happened to run into her ex. Jackie confidently replied, “If that’s my mindset, then I wouldn’t care about how you feel. I’m proud of what I have now.”

However, when asked how she would feel if she saw her ex with someone new, Jackie became emotional, stating, “I would avoid him. Then I’d just cry when I get home.”

Kim, too, struggled to contain her emotions during the discussion. When Vice Ganda passed the question to her, Jhong Hilario jokingly handed a tissue packet to Vhong Navarro for Kim’s use.

Jackie’s question caught many off guard: “You’re someone I look up to, Ate Kim. What should you do if you see him in the hallway with his new partner?” Under the pressure, Kim humorously asked what hotline she could call before answering.

She ultimately shared, “I would face him. You shouldn’t turn your back on things that empower you,” while tears filled her eyes.

The two hosts embraced as they wiped away their tears, with Vice jokingly saying, “Kim Chiu, meet Jackie.” He also praised both women for their strength, stating, “Even though it’s painful, they face it head-on. They don’t back down. They’re strong women.”
