It’s Showtime To Feature Kapuso Stars, Vhong Navarro Confirms

Vhong Navarro talked about the new home of It’s Showtime

TV host Vhong Navarro confirmed that their Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime will feature Kapuso stars.

The Kapamilya show found another home, a bigger platform to reach more viewers. On March 20, the historic contract signing happened between the executives of ABS-CBN and GMA Network.

Last year, the Kapuso network opened its door to the Kapamilya network. Together they did the series Unbreak My Heart. Then, the Kapamilya noontime show was catered by GTV.

Just recently, the doors of GMA fully opened for It’s Showtime. The hosts of the show went emotional for this new milestone. On April 6, the Kapamilya show will start airing on GMA.

In an interview on Fast Talk, the Kapuso talk show of King of Talk Boy Abunda, based on the article in Inquirer, Vhong Navarro shared that their show will feature Kapuso stars. The host said that they are fixing the set up for this.

“Syempre dalawa na ang [network] na paglalabasan namin ngayon so mas doble ‘yung pagpapasaya namin sa madlang pipol at madlang kapuso. ‘Yung mga papasok po na Kapuso stars ay parang inaayos na po kung papaano, kung daily, iba-iba, or kung may mareregular po,” he said.

Vhong also expressed excitement that their show is now part of the regular programming of GMA. The noontime show host could not believe he will witness the day that network rivalry no longer exists.

The network rivalry has been very intense in the past decades. However, in recent years, networks have been collaborating on different projects.

Vhong said that the Showtime hosts were crying because of happiness. They felt that overwhelming feeling when they arrived at the GMA building.

For Anne Curtis, one of the pioneer hosts of the show, this collaboration is surreal. She said that their inclusion in GTV’s programming was already historic and being on GMA’s noontime slot even intensified it.
