In a recent interview with Pep.ph, Zanjoe explained that their decision is rooted in protection rather than secrecy. “Kung gusto niyong makita, ipapakita ko naman sa inyo. Hindi ko naman siya tinatago, e,” he clarified, emphasizing that while they’re willing to share details selectively, they also value setting boundaries.

Zanjoe went on to say that they opt not to make a spectacle out of trendy “face” or “name” reveals. “‘Pag may gustong makakita, pinapakita ko, sinasabi ko ‘yung pangalan. Pero hindi naman sa ia-announce ko online,” he said.

The couple believes it’s best to hold off on revealing more details about their child at this stage. With their baby just under two months old, they are cautious about potential risks that come with early online exposure, like identity theft or image misuse. “Masyado pa siyang bata, masyado pa siyang maliit. Wala pa siyang two months, e,” Zanjoe noted. “Hindi ko makita yung point kung bakit siya i-expose sa online.”

“Proteksyon din e, kasi alam niyo naman ngayon marami na ring identity theft sa social media, ang daming fake news. So, huwag na lang,” he concluded.

For now, Zanjoe and Ria are focused on enjoying their new roles as parents while protecting their baby’s privacy. However, they hinted that fans might not have to wait too long for details, suggesting they could share some during a special occasion, possibly around Christmas.

The couple announced their pregnancy on Father’s Day this year, just a few months after their March 23, 2024 wedding. Ria gave birth on September 23, a moment Zanjoe only shared in an Instagram story.

Reflecting on the birth of their child, Zanjoe recalled feeling overwhelmed. He was primarily focused on supporting Ria, but everything changed the moment he heard their baby’s first cry.

“Hindi ko alam kung saan ko kukunin yung kasiyahan, yung kaba, yung ganung feeling bilang ama,” he said. The experience was unlike anything he had ever felt. “Iba yung pakiramdam. Hindi ko pa naramdaman ever, kung ano yung feeling. Kahit na umaarte ako na may ganung eksena, hindi pala ganun, yung ginagawa ko sa mga ganung scenes.”
