WATCH Showtime 15th anniv photoshoot

Fifteen years of happiness, challenges, and everything in between! The “It’s Showtime” family’s journey has been filled with laughter, tears, and moments that have become part of every household’s daily routine. Through all the ups and downs, one thing has remained constant—their unwavering bond with the madlang people.

And now, with October already here, the excitement is building like never before! Solid ‘Showtimers‘ know it’s that time of the year when the countdown begins for the much-anticipated “Magpasikat” showdown, which marks the program’s anniversary.

The “It’s Showtime” team has already started their preparations for their 15th anniversary celebration with an exciting photoshoot. Everyone brought their bubbly energy as they played for the camera, holding props that showcase their current segments, such as boxes from “Throwbox” and the audience members’ placards from “Kalokalike.”

We’re heart-eyes over Anne Curtis and Karylle striking a pose together. In another layout, Anne playfully clutched a microphone, as if she were belting out a song. Kim Chiu exuded enthusiasm in her photos, while the Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda was totally in game with his glamorous shots. In true “It’s Showtime” fashion, the hosts did the ‘eyyy’ handshake, a fun nod to this year’s anniversary theme: “Kinseyyy“!

But behind the smiles and poses, the squad is taking a moment to thank their followers and look back on the unforgettable memories they’ve created together while eagerly anticipating what’s ahead.

As Anne says, “We’re just so happy that throughout these 15 years, you’ve been with us to celebrate, cry, and laugh with us. And it truly means the world to us.” The nation’s original ‘Dyosa’ may have been absent from most episodes this year (and the group has joked about it a lot) because of her other projects, but she’s made it clear she’ll never leave the show or let the madlang people down. Anne will be part of this year’s Magpasikat as a teammate with Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz.

For the “It’s Showtime” family, their success is a shared victory with the madlang people. It is the support from viewers that has kept them resilient. Jhong Hilario perfectly sums up this sentiment, saying, “Kayo ang dahilan kung bakit kami umabot ng 15 years.” This comes with a promise that they’ll keep going for their beloved audiences, as Vhong Navarro puts it, “Ang ‘Showtime’ ay lagi naming iaalay sa inyo.

“Can you imagine? 15 years! Parang teenagers na tayong magkakaibigan, magkakasama, magkakapamilya,” reflects Karylle. “Thank you so much dahil ramdam na ramdam namin ang inyong pagmamahal, especially this year na nandito na tayo sa Kapuso Network.”

Amy Perez adds that no matter where they go, the love and support of the madlang people make them feel at home, and for that, they are grateful. Darren Espanto, the youngest member and representing Gen Zs, says that may be participating in his first Magpasikat but he has grown up watching It’s Showtime” since he was young.

Comedy duo MC and Lassy have only been part of the show for two years but have felt the acceptance and love from the madlang people. This love, as Ogie Alcasid describes, is something they feel every day.

Cianne Dominguez hopes that the “It’s Showtime family continues to grow even more. Jackie Gonzaga, who became a regular host after popularizing the character ‘Ate Girl’ in one of the show’s segments, appreciates the madlang people’s devotion, rain or shine.

And by ‘rain or shine,’ we’re reminded of the show’s ups and downs. No matter where this rollercoaster ride takes them, the “It’s Showtime” family and the madlang people will stick together and enjoy every twist and turn as one. “Patuloy namin kayong sasamahan sa araw-araw,” vows Teddy.

The future might be uncertain, but one thing is clear—the “It’s Showtime” family is ready to face whatever comes their way, with the madlang people by their side. “Hindi ko alam kung saan ito papunta, pero kahit saan man mapunta, alam kong magkakasama pa rin tayong lahat,” says Vice Ganda.

Ryan Bang beams, “Maraming salamat sa walang sawang suporta at pagmamahal n’yo sa amin. Happy 15 years, madlang people.” Jugs, who still vividly remembers that very first “It’s Showtime” episode aired on October 24, 2009, expresses, “Maraming salamat sa lahat ng mga tawa mula noon hanggang ngayon.”

Mark your calendars and get ready for the “It’s Showtime” week-long anniversary celebration and the hosts’ spectacular showdown in “Magpasikat 2024” this coming October 21 to 26!
