ABS-CBN’s No. 1 critic Rep. Rodante Marcoleta. According to the congressman, ABS-CBN should pay an administrative fine. He added that he has calculated the amount that the said network should pay.

According to a recent interview with Marcoleta, “What I see is a circumvention of the law when they did the quick joint venture between ABS-CBN and TV5.”

She added that the Philippine Competition Commission should look into the partnership between ABS-CBN and TV5. It is said that the industry will be monopolized due to the partnership of two major networks. Therefore, the Philippine Competition Commission should look into this matter to ensure the welfare of some affected sectors.

The congresswoman also encouraged the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to investigate ABS-CBN for possible violations and impose appropriate penalties if any laws are violated.
