After the decision issued on May 2 by the Taguig Regional Trial Court (RTC), Vhong Navarro spoke up on the noontime show It’s Showtime to thank those who supported, guided, and helped him receive justice. The Taguig RTC had found Cedric Lee, Deniece Cornejo, Ferdinand Guerrero, and Simeon Palma Raz guilty of illegal detention which stemmed from an incident he was involved in from January 2014.

Vhong acknowledged the role played by various individuals in his life and in his pursuit of truth. Vhong first gave thanks to God, for guiding him, and being the center of his life.

He then proceeded to thank the Taguig RTC, Judge Mariam Bien, and all of the court’s staff for giving him the justice he’s been praying for. “Salamat sa binigay niyong justice sa akin, na matagal ko na pong pinagdadasal. Salamat po ng marami.”

Vhong also acknowledged his legal counsel, Atty. Alma Mallonga, being the front runner of his team. “Marami pong salamat sa aking legal team sa hindi pag bitaw at pagsama sa’kin sa huli.”

Vhong also thanked the executives at ABS-CBN, for staying by his side since day 1. He thanked them for supporting him, and for always believing in him. He mentioned director Chito Roño, the Streetboys, his friends, and the Wednesday club for sticking by his side.

He thanked his fans for still supporting him, despite the negativity he’s been exposed to because of the case. He acknowledged his It’s Showtime family because of their patience.

Vhong admitted feeling dazed and not in the right state of mind during the show. He described what happened to him as a roller coaster, saying, “Roller coaster ang pinagdaanan ko, ang hirap iexplain pero minsan sabaw ako dito eh. Andyan kayo kahit yung mga bitaw ko, mga hirit ko, eh sablay di ko alam, pero andiyan kayo to support me dahil alam kong mahal na mahal niyo ako.”

Vhong didn’t forget to thank his family, his sons, his mom, and his siblings for being strong with him.

Lastly, Vhong got emotional while thanking and acknowledging his wife, Tanya Bautista. He said, “Marami akong kasalanan pero andyan ka pa rin. Hayaan mong bumawi ako sa’yo, sa abot ng aking makakaya hanggang sa huling sandali ng buhay ko, mahal na mahal kita, salamat.”
