Actress Rufa Mae Quinto receives P1-M help from TV host Willie Revillame
MANILA, Philippines — Actress and comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto revealed she received P1 million in cash aid from TV host Willie Revillame.
In a video clip shared on June 14, 2025 on “Wil To Win” Facebook page, Quinto was seen joining Revillame and his co-hosts in his daily afternoon program.
“Not only did he help you, but he also helped me, so I say hi and hello to express my gratitude,” she continued in Filipino.
Revillame recalled that he had a chance encounter with Quinto last week after she posted bail at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for the 14 counts of violation of Section 8 of the Securities Regulation Code filed against her.
Quinto then took over and said that Revillame — whom she considers one her good friends in show business, having known him when they were both just starting to grow their careers — instantly offered financial help.
“I said, ‘Let’s just talk tomorrow. Think about it first — you might just be overcome with your feelings right now.’ But he insisted and said he feels sorry for me and everything I’ve been through.”
Revillame emphasized the importance of helping fellow Filipinos in tough times.
“When a Filipino falls, let’s lift them up, not push them down. When someone is at their lowest, let’s be there for them — that’s how we should be to rise together,” the 63-year-old host said.On Jan. 8, Quinto turned herself over to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) upon her arrival in the Philippines after a warrant for her arrest was issued for alleged unauthorized investments involving a local skincare product.
