Finland star who could face England has bizarre Wayne Rooney tattoo which he designed himself

 

Topi Keskinen’s baffling body ink has caught the headlines.

England entertain Finland on Tuesday night looking to make it two wins from two to kick off their Nations League campaign following Saturday’s 2-0 win in Ireland.

The Nations League clash will be the Three Lions’ last of the current international break following on from the Dublin success handed to them by Declan Rice and Jack Grealish at the weekend.

And ahead of the Wembley clash tomorrow, it is a 21-year-old Aberdeen forward in the visiting ranks who has hit the headlines.

Topi Keskinen moved from his homeland to the SPL this summer in a move said to be worth in the region of £850,000.

And his body ink (and in particular) a homage to Wayne Rooney have caught people’s attention in the build-up to the match, with the tale an interesting one to say the very least.

It has emerged that 21-year-old Keskinen has a tattoo on his arm of the former Manchester United forward holding a fishing rod.‌

Speaking to The Mirror recently, the former HJK Helsinki striker took the time to explain his bizarre piece of ink.

“To be honest, it is not such a wonderful tattoo because I designed it myself,” said Keskinen.

“It has become a bigger deal than I thought it would, especially since I moved to Scotland.‌

“I have always liked the style of British football. If I get tattoos, I want them to mean something.

“I was a United fan as a kid and also Rooney – and I also love fishing.”

Keskinen faced the Dons in the Europa Conference League last season and clearly made quite the impression.

In addition, he scored 14 goals to help HJK win the Finnish championship in 2023/24.

Before joining the Scottish club, Keskinen also drew interest from Middlesbrough and Blackburn.

His debut was marked in fine fashion just last month, netting against Queens Park in the Scottish League Cup from the bench.

After earning eight caps at Under-21 level for Finland, the 21-year-old earned his full debut in his side’s SPL triumph over Kilmarnock last Saturday, winning 2-0. As a result, he received his first call-up to Finland’s senior side and will be hoping to continue his impressive start against Lee Carsley’s side.
