Kim Atienza shared kind words for Vhong Navarro

Kapuso host Kim Atienza talked about the generosity of It’s Showtime host Vhong Navarro during a recent interview.

Kim and Vhong worked together in the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime for many years. They were able to create a bond of friendship that has become stronger over the years.

Following the victory that Vhong has recently achieved in his legal battle against Deniece Cornejo and Cedric Lee, Kuya Kim shared this kind words about his former co-host.

Kim Atienza said that comedians are sad people, based on the article in PEP. “Oo, ang galing magpatawa ni Vhong, pero ang lalim ng hugot niyan sa buhay. Mahal ko yang si Vhong,” the TiktoClock host.

The seasoned TV host also shared that he and Vhong had deep conversations. Kim said that they talked to each other for many years everyday. Vhong even got Kim as his “ninong” in his wedding with his wife Tanya Bautista.

“Alam ko kung saan galing si Vhong, alam ko puso ni Vhong, at alam ko katauhan niyan,” Kim shared.

The Kapuso host also said that the comedian is very generous when it comes to work and sharing the things that he has. Kim shared that it is fun having onscreen banter with Vhong because there is inclusivity.

He also said that Vhong is “mapagbigay.” “Sa gamit mapagbigay yan. ‘Pag may inarbor ako diyan, ‘Vhong, ganda ng shades mo, ha. Ray-Ban, bigay mo sa ‘kin yan.’ Oo, bibigay niya agad. Mapagbigay yan,” he shared an instance showing Vhong’s generosity.

In the same interview, Kim Atienza also shared kind words for other hosts he worked with in the past. He said that Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda is a “comic genius.” The Kapuso host also said that singer-host Billy Crawford is his dear friend and they spend time together regularly. It’s Showtime is also currently airing on GMA.
