In a lighthearted chat with Vice Ganda on her YouTube channel, the It’s Showtime host asked Belle if she receives comments from others that she is imperfect.

“Tanggap ko naman na imperfect ako,” the actress answered. “It’s our imperfections that make us perfect. I think that’s what I like. We learn how to embrace our imperfections. I think that’s what makes us really stick to our core and love ourselves more.”

Belle said that her body image is the flaw that she is most proud of and is not afraid to embrace.

“Before talaga sobrang weight-conscious ko. Binibilang ko ‘yung calories ko, ganyan. As in I never saw myself perfect physically,” she said.

“Tapos in-embrace ko siya. So now, I just do what I want to do. Ginagawa ko na lang kung ano ‘yung hinahanap ng katawan ko, kung ano ‘yung gusto kong kainin,” she continued.

Commenting on the bad side of social media, Belle shared that she has received comments from users who criticize her appearance, but those kinds of remarks are merely “noise” for her now that she is at peace with her imperfections. Despite this, she admitted that she would still like to improve her posture.

Belle’s love for herself isn’t the only thing that keeps her radiant as she also has her love team partner, Donny Pangilinan, defending her from her bashers.

Back when they were rising in popularity with their series He’s Into Her, Donny emphasized how he would not waste any second to defend his co-star from critics who were insulting her looks.

“First of all, yung mga bashers hindi naman namin masyado pinapansin yun kasi may mga pinagdadaanan din sila. Pero ako mag-a-attest ako, sobrang ganda ni Belle,” he highlighted.

But according to him, the actress is more than just her beauty.

“She’s so talented. She released an album. I’m so proud of her. Belle never stops looking for hope. She never loses that hope. She always focuses on growth an what can be done better. Even if she’s so talented she always tries to strive for more,” he said.
