Philippine basketball personalities extended their thoughts and prayers to June Mar Fajardo and to his entire family following the sudden passing of his mother Marites on Wednesday night.

The news left the entire PH basketball community mourning, since it is no secret that the six-time MVP is a self-professed ‘mama’s boy’, which the fans loved about him.

 

Mommy Marites last appeared

June Mar’s closest PBA and Gilas friend Marc Pingris offered his support and friendship, noting that he will always be there for him.

Ramdam na ramdam kita tol. Sakit lang talaga. Gusto man kita yakapin or puntahan pero alam ko gusto mo muna mag isa. Dito lang kami tol!,” he wrote on his Instagram post.

 

Even Fajardo’s current and former teammates, as well as his peers from Gilas Pilipinas, also expressed their condolences on social media.


 


June Mar was accompanied by Mommy Marites along with his father when the San Miguel star received his sixth MVP award last March 8, 2020.

The untimely death of June Mar’s mom left everyone a reminder that we should always express our love and care to our loved ones, especially with the uncertainties brought upon by the current COVID-19 pandemic.
