Rico’s Latest Post Becomes An Online Meeting Point For The Heartbroken
A teary-eyed Maris revealed yesterday, July 12, that she and Rico have parted ways. Internet sleuths quickly turned to social media to find clues about the shocking revelation. There isn’t much to go on so far, giving credence to Maris’ statement that the breakup was peaceful.
“Please don’t direct your hate on Rico, because he’s too precious for that. If you guys wanna throw so much, I’m ready to take them,” Maris said.
Rico has remained mum on the matter so far. His latest Instagram post, however, has become a subject of speculation. Posted on July 11—a.k.a. the day before Maris’ announcement—the video is a clip of Rico in his music setup. The text on the post explains that he’s sharing a few seconds of a song he’s been working on.
The caption reads “7.19.24”, with a sparkly and eye emoji. The date is presumably when the song will be fully released. Regardless, the Internet is going through *all of the feels* in the comments. Some messages include the inevitable “Why?” while sharing their own heartache over the announcement.

Others can’t help but notice that the song sounds like the Rivermaya classic “Kisapmata.” The 1996 hit, penned by Rico, laments on a love that has come and gone in the blink of an eye.
