Jermaine Jenas has been accused of ‘repeatedly pestering’ a junior make-up artist at BT Sport for sex in a series of fresh allegations made against the former footballer.

Jenas, 41, was sacked by the BBC last month following an internal investigation into his workplace conduct.

The former England and Tottenham player, who presented The One Show and regularly appeared on Match of the Day, was axed following claims he acted inappropriately with female colleagues.

Jenas later issued a public apology for his behaviour, admitting he sent inappropriate texts to female colleagues at the BBC despite being married to his wife Ellie for 13 years.

But he denied doing anything illegal and is set to attempt to continue his career in broadcasting.

While talkSPORT has dropped Jenas in the wake of the scandal, TNT Sports – formerly known as BT Sport – is yet to confirm if Jenas will continue working for the broadcaster.

Allegations were made earlier this month that Jenas sent inappropriate messages to a woman while working at the Qatar World Cup.

And new claims have now been made by another woman, who has alleged that he sent her numerous inappropriate messages during her time as a freelance make-up artist at BT Sport.

In an interview to the Daily Mail, the unnamed woman claims she had only just started shift working for BT Sport in 2017, when Jenas is alleged to have begun sending her unsolicited sexual messages.

She claims that ‘Jenas refused to take no for an answer’ and ‘bombarded her with texts detailing his sexual fantasies’ while also ‘asking her to come to his dressing room for sex’.

It is also claimed that Jenas sent her ‘an unsolicited video showing his penis’.

SPORTbible has contacted Jenas’ representatives, BT Group and TNT Sports for comment.

The woman claims she told Jenas that she had no interest in him as she was in a relationship at the time.

The freelance make-up artist says she feared losing work if she came forward to complain about Jenas’ alleged conduct.

She alleges that Jenas sent her a message asking for a ‘snog’ before sending her an unsolicited video of his penis.

“Soon after that message and the video I had to go in to do a touch up for him to go on-air,” the woman told the Daily Mail.

“He whispered to me ‘did you see my messages’ and I just said ‘yes’, as in ‘I’d seen them, not interested,’ and just carried on working.

“That was it that day. Then the next day it must have been his birthday, and he texted me ‘can I have a birthday kiss tonight please, our secret’.

“Then he sent me another one. After that I said ‘Look, I’m in a relationship… I’m not interested.”

He is later alleged to have sent her another message, urging her: “Just come to my dressing room early and I’ll [perform a sex act]… that’s not cheating x.”

The woman said she told her line manager, who was contracted to work for BT Sport, about the messages at the time.

She said her manager’s response was ‘supportive and protective’ but stopped short of formally alerting the channel’s management to Jenas’ behaviour.

The unnamed woman says she was later taken off shifts with Jenas and that she started to see him less at work.

“Over time I just stayed professional, it wasn’t nice, you don’t go to work to have to deal with that. He eventually stopped and didn’t do it again,” she added.

A few years later, while working on another job outside of BT Sport, the woman said Jenas approached her and apologised for his behaviour.

A spokesman for Jenas has now told the Daily Mail: “Jermaine denies that these messages were unsolicited and it is disappointing that it has taken seven years for these accusations to come to light.

“Jermaine has already apologised for his past actions and is currently taking time to focus on his family.”
