England will take on Greece in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday night.

England will reportedly wear a rarely-seen kit when they take on Greece on Thursday night.

Lee Carsley’s time in charge of England got off to a flyer after he led the team to victory against the Republic of Ireland and Finland last month.

This week, the Three Lions are back in action as they take on Greece at Wembley on Thursday night before facing Finland at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium on Sunday.

Ahead of Thursday’s match against Greece, it has been claimed that England will wear a rare all-white kit.

As reported by The Sun, the all-white kit is to be worn in a clear nod to David Beckham’s iconic goal against the Greeks from back in 2001.

The then-captain scored a stunning free-kick in front of a packed crowd at Old Trafford to seal England’s passage to the 2002 World Cup.

At the time, Beckham and his teammates were wearing an all-white kit.

More than 20 years on from that moment, England are set to step out wearing all white again as they host Greece in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday night.

Previously speaking about his iconic goal, Beckham told The Sun: “It’s probably the clearest moment that I have in my memory of my football career and it was probably one of the most special moments.

“To represent my country, to captain my country, to score a goal that meant so much to our country and the fans… and to do it all at Old Trafford. For me, it couldn’t have been any more perfect.”

He added: “That was the moment that England supporters forgave me for what had happened a few years before.

“For me personally, that was redemption for what had happened, because up until then, there was always that cloud around the sending-off.

“That goal against Greece was when I felt the real England fans, and the fans that disliked me for a few years, all of a sudden were like, ‘OK, that’s it, we can move on now’. That, for me, was a special moment.”
